Accommodation – Hotels can range from luxurious properties in major cities to cozy boutique hotels tucked away in charming villages. They offer a comfortable and convenient base for exploration. At ski resorts stays can range from a standard rental apartment with room and amenities to a hotel with mountainous views and conseirge for your equipment. For a more intimate experience, consider booking a charming bed and breakfast where you can see for yourself traditional French hospitality. You can find more remotely, renting a vacation apartment or villa might be more convenient for longer stays or a larger party. Always consider your travel plans and the proximity to the city, public transport or desired attractions.
Food – Croissants. In and around Paris, explore the bustling street markets and boulangeries for freshly baked baguettes, pastries, and a delightful assortment of cheeses. Each region in France has its culinary specialties: cassoulet in the south, tarte flambée in Alsace, and the world-renowned wines of Bordeaux or Burgundy. Additionally, make sure to experience a local bistro or brasserie especially with the views of the Eiffel Tower as you indulge. Bon appétit!
Transportation – France has a relatively easy transportation network when exploring the country. The trains operated by SNCF, is efficient, comfortable, and connects major cities and picturesque towns. It’s an excellent option for long-distance travel, allowing you to enjoy the scenic countryside. For shorter distances renting a car provides freedom and flexibility. If you’re exploring larger cities, the metro and buses, is often the most convenient and cost-effective way to get around.
